Juanita Ruth Washek Davis, 94 of Columbus, Ga passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 under the watchful care of Phenix City Healthcare. Mrs. Davis was born February 4, 1922 in Waycross, GA to her late parents Pratt and Blanche Farmer. She was a long time sales associate of Kirven’s Department Store and past member of the American Business Women’s Association. Mrs. Davis was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Juanita loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Washek and second husband Homer Davis; one son, James Patrick Washek; three brothers, James Lewis Farmer, Joe Thomas Farmer, and Jack Emory Farmer and one sister, Joyce Blanche Farmer. She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Marie Washek and her husband Truman Camp of Columbus, GA; her son, Robert Joseph Washek and his wife Patricia of Mt. Airy, MD; sister, Shirley Ann Carter of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Robert Washek, Thomas Washek, and Christine (James) Kyak; step grandchildren, Hugh (Ashton) Camp and Edith (Paul) Saylor; great grandchildren, Rachel, Taylor, Evan, Nicholas, Kathleen, and Heather; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2016 1:30 pm in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, with a committal service at Parkhill Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Juanita’s Life reception in the Mill Room. Officiating will be Father Dan O’Connell of Holy Family Catholic Church.
