Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Columbus

Jeanette Delaney Baker, age 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Spring Harbor. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Church on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10 am with Reverend Robert Schlageter officiating.

Jeanette Baker was born to Leo and Jeanette Delaney September 24, 1935 in Mobile, Alabama. She taught first grade for 39 years in Freeport, Texas, Rock Falls, Illinois, Deerfield, Illinois and Columbus, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell A. Baker Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Skip (Claire) Baker and Scott (Rhonda) Baker, her four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, sister Helen Storey and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Jamal Mohyuddin and the dear nurses and loving staff at Spring Harbor.
