Jean E. Wing

Mrs. Wing was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Wing, her daughter, Bette Alice, her parents, Earl and Katherine Robbins, her sisters, Barbara Elgammal and Betty Bouchard and her brother, Earl Robbins.

Mrs. Wing retired with 23 years of service from the State of Georgia, New Horizons Community Service Board where she worked as a substance abuse counselor. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Thrivent for Lutherans and the DAV.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4026 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA, officiated by Reverend Gerald Bultman. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Striffler Hamby, Columbus, GA from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Mrs. Wing is survived by her sister, Evelyn Symons of Warren, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

Jean’s message to her family and friends is “ Thank you for your support and concern throughout my life, especially my church family. I’m now in my loving Father’s arms.”
