Family and friends will be welcomed Tuesday October 11th, 2022 from 5:00pm until 7:00 pm for visitation at Striffler- Hamby Mortuary in Columbus Ga . Services will be held at 10:00 am, October 12th, 2022 at Gentian Baptist Church 3853 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, Ga. 31907. Followed by a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery at 11:30 am 3800 Highway 280 4310 N, Al, Phenix City, Al. 36867.
Howie was born in New York City, January 19th 1949. He lived in Maryland where he started his family. He then moved to Long Island, New York where he learned the trade of carpentry. In his early 20’s he moved to Key West where he started his own business and was recognized as the number one contractor. He moved to Harris County, Ga. where he married Katharine Smith Davis Price. Howie was a born again Christian and a proud member of Gentian Baptist Church. He was a person who would help a stranger in need.
He is survived by his loving wife Katharine Schneider, his father Howard Paul Schneider, Sr., brother Donald David Schneider, sister Susan Lynn Will, son Howie Schneider and daughter Kimberly Machaud. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Stone. Grandparents John Schneider & Mary Eggers. His son Steven Schneider and daughter Terri Schneider. Howie was loved by everyone, we will always carry his memory in our hearts!
