Gudrun "Gert" Ann Munsey

Gudrun "Gert" Munsey, age 87, resident of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, March 16, 2018 at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA.

Mrs. Munsey, daughter of the late Richard and Maria Balka Zetner, was born December 28, 1930 in Schweinfurt, Germany. She was employed by the Muscogee County School District, faithfully serving at Columbus High before retirement. Mrs. Munsey was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Munsey. Mrs. Munsey is survived by three daughters, Juanita Casler and her husband Vincent , Debbie Simmons and her husband Dale, and Evelyn Munsey, all of Columbus; two grandchildren, Robin Lake and her husband Keith of Phenix City, Alabama and Corey Wood of Columbus; one great granddaughter, Kennedy Lynn Burt; many other relatives and friends.
