Glen was born in Litchfield, Maine on February 8, 1940 to the late Hazel Wing and Carlton Wing. You are born in a day and you die in a day. They say your life is measured by the dash which separates the dates. Glen made good use of his dash. Glen married Gwen August 22, 1959 in Sabattus, Maine. They were married for 60 years. Together they have two daughters, Susan Wallace and Karen Wallace, both of Columbus and a son, David, who is in Heaven.
Glen served 20 years in the United States Army. He traveled the world and did two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. Glen was a very simple and hardworking man. He never cared too much for the finer things in life, however he was very proud of everything he had on this earth. Glen was always there for the ones he loved and was loved and respected by so many people. He had a large family and a larger group of friends he considered family. He will be greatly missed by so many people. Glen lived 80 years. He was a veteran, a husband, a father, and a great friend.
"Your wings were ready, but my heart was not."
