Gary B. Turner

Gary Turner, 72, of Cataula, Georgia, entered his heavenly home on September 08, 2023. Gary loved his family, friends, and having fun. He was always telling jokes and making people laugh. He served a four year term in the Navy then became an Auto-Mechanic to make a full time career out of his passion. He was known to be dedicated to old cars and trucks. He started working at Columbus body works at the age of 17 and would spend the rest of his life working at body shops all over town. He would frequently attend car shows and car races, and when he wasn’t, he enjoyed driving around listening to music. Many of those drives were to go fishing, visit and enjoy the view of Lake Oliver, or to the flea markets. Gary will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Gary is preceded in death by his Parents, Sarah and Charles Turner; Wife, Irene Turner; and two Sons, Gary “GiGi” Turner and Matthew Turner.

Gary is survived by his Daughter, Renee Fonder (LeRoy); Son, Wesley Nail (Melissa); Brother, Charles Emmery Turner Jr. (Cindy); and Eight Grandchildren.
