Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Striffler – Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel with a private interment in Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. Tuesday October 15, 2013 at the funeral home.
LTC Anderson was born August 8, 1943 in Providence, R.I. the son of the late Frank Raymond Anderson and the late Barbara Brown Anderson. He had lived in Florida since 1990.
LTC Anderson was retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years of service having served during the Vietnam conflict, some of his decorations include; Legion of Merit, Air Medal, Master Aviator Badge, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Bronze Star Medal.
Survivors include his daughter, Gina Anderson Christopher and her husband, Mike of Columbus; one brother, John Anderson and his wife, Lynn of MA; a sister, Elizabeth Anderson and Carla of FL and a sister, Barbara Maillet and her husband, Bruce of FL; several nieces and nephews.
