Farris H. Scarborough Sr., aged 93, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on May 22, 2024. He was born on November 19, 1930, in Columbus, Georgia, to Mr. & Mrs. William Turner Scarborough. He was a lifelong Harris County resident, a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church, and a US Army Korean War Veteran. Farris retired from Lummus Industries after 39 years. He loved his family, giving to others, nature, and the water.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Romona; two daughters, Vanessa Lockhart (Phillip) and Susan Scarborough Greene (Jay); many wonderful grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his five siblings, his son Farris H. Scarborough Jr., and his baby girl Sam Scarborough.

Family and friends are invited to attend the service on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm in Park Hill Cemetery 4161 Macon Road, Columbus GA 31907, to reminisce and honor the life of Farris with military honors.
