Clarence Lawrence Martin, Sr., 72 years old, lived in Phenix City, Alabama. He was born on July 20, 1948 to James and Erma Martin in Columbus, Georgia. Clarence passed away September 18, 2020 with his friends and family at his side.
He worked as a pipefitter, master welder, farmer, businessman, car dealer, entertainment promoter for Columbus, and a tax preparer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Erma Martin; his wife, Ann; and brother, James "Danny" Martin, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Clarence Martin, Jr. and Jeffrey Lynn Martin. He was a grandfather to Noah Elliot Martin and daughter-in-law, Jessica Arnold. He is also survived by his sister, Betty "Skitch" Danielson, and her husband, Frank D; and sister-in-law, Linda Martin. He was an uncle to James Martin III, Billy Martin, Christopher Martin, Jeremiah Danielson, Nathan Danielson, and Joseph Danielson. His loss will be deeply felt by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 4:00 pm. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service.
