Charles "Rick" Milton Hinson

Funeral services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Don Wilhite officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 4 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Mr. Hinson was born on November 29, 1934 in Hartford, AL to the late Henry Harvey Hinson and Lois Lucille Thomas Hinson. He served in the United States Air Force for four years before joining the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, where he retired after twenty years of service. Mr. Hinson attended Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed stock car racing and horses.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Clark (Gary) of Covington, LA and Sunny Dickson (Paul) of Houston, TX; a son, Paul Wayne Hinson of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Kayla Clark, Gary Clark, Jr., Josh Clark, Emma Abel and Kemley Dickson; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Clark, Mia Clark and Rain Clark; three brothers, Edward Hinson (Theresa) of Waverly Hall, Ronnie Hinson (Brenda) of Albany, GA and Bobby Hinson (Katrina) of Oxford, GA; many nieces and nephews also survive.
