A funeral to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Family will visit with friends before and after the service.
Charles was born on September 15, 1935 in Summerville, Georgia to the late Lozzie Parker Horn and Charles Gordon Horn. He worked for Tom’s Foods for over 35 years with perfect attendance. Charles also owned his own business, Charles Horne Painting and Wallpaper. He was married to Sherry Bolton Horne in September of 1988. Together they had three beautiful daughters, Whitney, Ashley and Halston. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he adored his family and they cherished him dearly. He will be forever and greatly missed. Charles was Christian by faith and he treasured reading his Bible and living by faith. He was affiliated with First Baptist Church of Columbus. Daddy always said “Do the Right Thing”. He is preceded in death by other than his parents Charles Gordon Horn and Lozzie Parker Horn by his son Danny Charles Horne.
He leaves his loving memory to be cherished by his loving wife Sherry Horne; daughter and son-in-law Whitney and Dylan Martin; daughter and son-in-law Ashley Horne and Nicholas Turner; daughter and son-in-law Halston Horne and Matthew Wagner; grandchildren: Keanu Horne, Kirk Horne, Selena Horne, Devlyn Martin, Elora Martin and Aella Turner.
