Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Ken was born in Columbus, GA. on November 29, 1954 to the late Curtis Leonard Eaton and Edna Juanita Thompson Eaton. Ken was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Eaton.
He enjoyed the outdoors, spending much time hunting and fishing with his three sons and his brother-in-law, Eddie Dempsey. Like his father, he also enjoyed gardening and tinkering in the yard.
He was a humble soul with a giving spirit that would do anything for others if asked, never expecting anything in return. He was very appreciative and content with what he was given in life. He thought of himself as not very educated, but his knowledge in life matters would prove otherwise. Ken was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs football fan and a NASCAR enthusiast.
Ken is survived by his two sons, Rodney J. Eaton and wife Rosa of Columbus, GA. and Jeremy W. Eaton and wife Kim of Phenix City, AL., two brothers, William Franklin Eaton and wife Joyce of Columbus, GA. and Michael D. Eaton and wife Mary Kay of Clifton, VA. three grandchildren, Taylor Eaton, Cameron Eaton and Andrew Wilson, two great grandchildren, Alina Wilson and Zain Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.
