Carrie Louise Tait, September 1, 1925-December 21, 2022, has completed her 97 year journey on earth and returned home to be with Jesus.

Carrie was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Chester Sr. They were married for 62 years. Carrie is survived by two sons, Bruce Jr. and Bud, two daughters-in-law, Judy and Debbie, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Mom you will be missed terribly for your love, compassion, and wisdom, but we will all see each other and rejoice together again in Heaven.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia. A funeral service will be held on January 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia with her great grandson, Scott Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
