Graveside funeral service will be held in Parkhill Cemetery on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Family will receive and visit with friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Striffler-Hamby of Columbus.
Carolyn Ruth Will Watkins was born on October 4, 1929 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Vivian George Kelly Wills Lawhorne and Jesse Hodges Wills. Mrs. Watkins was retired from SunTrust Bank. She was a long time member of Central Christian Church of Columbus.
Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, E. D. Watkins, Jr., her son, Barry C. Watkins, Sr. and his wife Cornelia “Connie”, daughter, Lauralyn Camille Hall; brother, Jesse Hodges Wills, Jr.; sister-in-law, Betty Watkins; six grandchildren and one on the way; eleven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions to be made to the Central Christian Church, 7775 Moon Rd, Columbus, GA 31909, in memory of Carolyn R. Watkins.
