Carol Elaine Kelley, of Columbus, Georgia formerly of Stafford, Virginia, passed away on November 26, 2021 at the age of 83. Carol was born on December 19, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Charles Elmer and Selma Helen Anderson.
She was a retired educator with the DeKalb County School District teaching elementary students from the early 1960's through the 1970's. She was predeceased by her parents, husband William Kelley and her daughter Cheryl Lynn Seat.
Survivors include daughter Catherine (Robert) Lindquist of Ellerslie, Georgia; son James Andrew Cottingham of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren: Holly Marie Mullis of Columbus, Georgia, Cheryl (William Joseph) Mullis Balbach of Columbus, Georgia, Robert Edmund Lindquist III of Andersonville, Georgia, Cydney Elaine Lindquist of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Cody (Nicole) Cottingham of Smyrna, Delaware, Dominique (T.K.) Cottingham of Smyrna, Delaware, Cheyenne Cottingham of Toms River, New Jersey, Brad Seat of Fairfax Station, Virginia; several great grandchildren; a cousin, Lee Westerman of Millstore Township, New Jersey, and a devoted friend Marilyn Cowl of Ocala, Florida.
The family is grateful for the loving care of the nursing staff at Muscogee Manor, St. Francis, and Columbus Hospice. Memorial Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Columbus Hospice House in lieu of flowers.
