Barbara A. Brown

Born February 13, 1943 in Hartford, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Milton T. Newton and Lillie Mae (White) Newton.

She was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church. She enjoyed crafts, especially making and painting ceramics. She also enjoyed working in the yard, planting flowers and she had a vegetable garden. She loved reading books, sometimes three at a time.

Barbara was survived by her children, Keith and Jeff Brown and Kristy Dunham; her 4 grandchildren, Chase Brown, Megan Lehman, Kaylee (Tyler) Bankston, Emma Griffin; her 2 great-grandchildren, Summer Sharp and Kristopher Bankston; her sister, Judy Newton Young; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mason C. Brown.

She loved her family and will be missed so very much.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 3:00PM. Visitation with family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in the St. Elmo Chapel, on Monday afternoon from 1:00PM to 2:45PM.
