Alexander Vance Pinter, 78, of Columbus, Georgia passed away at his daughter's home in Asheville, North Carolina on March 25. Vance grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from University of Houston. Later he earned a law degree at St. Mary's University in San Antonio and practiced law in Columbus for forty years, 1978-2018. After serving as a captain in the Army Reserves, Vance was working in Galveston, Texas, when he met his "one-and-only" Louise; they were married for nearly fifty years and had three children.
He is preceded in death by his parents Al and Frances Pinter, his son Vance Jr., and his sister Claire Forristall. He is survived by his wife Louise; daughter Peggy plus her two children; son Jamie; also his brother Les Pinter and sister Cathy Antone. He has been blessed with a large and loving extended family.
Vance Pinter was a good man and a strong Christian. He loved God, motorcycles, music, and his family which in recent years included his grandchildren, Xander and Greta. Most of all, he loved his wife, Louise.
Services for Vance Pinter will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Reg Hall officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice in Vance's name.
