Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
Shirley will be remembered for her sweet demeanor, contagious laugh and giving heart. She had a natural green thumb and loved the solace that she found tending to her flowers and garden. Being a dedicated military wife allowed her to enjoy her love of entertaining family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Henry F. Goodwin, Jr., two daughters, Ginger Schuman, Sandra Morgan (Tony), grandson, Jason Sheffield (Heather), granddaughter, Megan Morgan, great-granddaughter, Makenzie Sheffield, sister, Barbara Atkins (Junior), brother, Jerry Wilkes (Sandra) and many nieces and nephews.
