Pat was born to the late Joseph R. Dickerson and Lulumae C. Czerwinski in Fort Worth, Texas. She and
her late husband, Anthony J. Miranda met and married in Fort Worth while he was serving with the U.S.
Air Force. Pat was a wonderful wife and mother and is survived by her 7 children, Richard A. Miranda
(Denise), John E. Miranda (Pamela), Lee Anne Miranda Cooley (predeceased), Patricia L. Miranda,
Michael J. Miranda (Tonie), Thomas A. Miranda (Donna), and Mariclare Miranda (Dean Keisler);
grandchildren, Carol Anne Cooley, Ginelle Miranda, Paul Miranda, Leslie Cantelmi (Michael), Andrea
Miranda, Kathryn Miranda, Jenna Cooley, John Shows, Michael T. Miranda, Alecia Miranda; great
grandson, Carter Pittman; cousins, Frances Blacha and Ric Blacha of Fort Worth, Texas; and her beloved
dog, Annie.
Affectionately known as Ms. Pat, she volunteered as Wardrobe Mistress for Columbia City Ballet for over
35 years. She worked tirelessly backstage, sewing costumes, helping dancers look their best, quick
changes to get the dancers back on stage, and being a mom to so many of the company dancers. Ms. Pat also was the leader at the front desk of the Columbia Conservatory of Dance, owned by her youngest
daughter, Mariclare Miranda and William Starrett. She got much joy in sharing her knowledge and
experiences with new dance parents and many dancers young and old. She was considered the “heart
and soul” of the Columbia Conservatory of Dance and she greatly missed her involvement there when
she retired.
The family wishes to recognize the loving care provided by the Staff of Retire Ease, most notably LaVon,
and the nurses at Amedisys Hospice Care.
