COLUMBIA - A celebration of life for Nancy DelPriore Ward, 98, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street, with burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
Nancy Ward was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 24, 1926 to James and Rose DelPriore. Nancy was known as one of the nicest ladies they had ever met. She was smart and well read. She enjoyed a good mystery. One of her biggest accomplishments was how much she loved being a bookkeeper and enjoyed balancing a budget. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She volunteered as a docent at the South Carolina State Museum and always participated in various community service projects through her garden club. Some of her favorite things were all things New York including Broadway, being in her Garden Club, completing crossword puzzles, reading, winning raffles, and she enjoyed golf in her later years. Nancy was well known for her tenacity to solve a problem or find a hack for cleaning or organizing.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Ward and five of her six siblings.

Her three daughters Carolanne Isola and her husband, Joe; Lorraine Dowdy and her husband, Dan; Donna Romano
Her three nieces under her guardianship: Regina Burchala (Woody), Janine Antonelli (Don), LeeAnne Galayda (Steve)
Her brother Michael DelPriore
Her five grandchildren: Tracey Cannon (Chad), Jackie O’Neil (Terry), Dana Isola (Rachel), Kyle Isola (Kristen), Raquel Treichel (Mike)
Her ten great grandchildren: Madeline Cannon, Calem Cannon, Emerson Cannon, Rylee O’Neil, Reese O’Neil, Logan Isola, Luca Isola, Christian Isola, Dane Isola, Thomas Isola
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Society or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
