COLUMBIA - Michael Lewis Farrar, 75, passed away November 10, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Northeast Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Born in Clifton Forge, VA to Robert Ray Farrar and Edith Gard Farrar. He attended high school in Hot Springs, Virginia where he played golf, baseball and basketball. Mike was a graduate of Virginia Military Institute where he majored in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he went to work for EI DuPont. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for two years before returning to DuPont. Mike acquired his professional engineering licenses in several states during his 33 years as a Site Construction Manager.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Yvonne; sons, Jeffrey Austin and Blake Cameron and grandchildren; Everett Mason and Edith Maysie.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Dementia Society of America in honor of Michael Farrar.
