Martha Sue Neeley

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Martha Sue Hinerman Neeley, 79, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial to follow in the Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Neeley was born on August 31, 1939 and her Lord and Savior took her home on her 79th birthday, Friday, August 31, 2018. Born in Glovers Gap, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James Francis Hinerman and Mabel Morris Hinerman.

Sue was a devoted wife of 58 years to the late James Edward Neeley. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sue retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield and was a devoted member of Capital City Baptist Church. She also loved her rose garden.

Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia Sue Bowers (Mike) of Camden; son, Mark Edward Neeley (Lisa) of Swansea; granddaughter, Heather Neeley of Swansea; great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Skye McCormick of Swansea; sisters, Karen McGlumphy of Lexington and Ruth Phillips of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and brother, John Hinerman of Wooster, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Richard Lee Neeley.
