Margaret Sizemore

beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend

passed on to her eternal reward in heaven.

Margaret L. Sizemore (Thomas) age 93, was born on January 23,

1928 in Alachua, Florida to the late Andrew Jackson Thomas and

Nelle Jane Kearse Thomas.

She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Elmer Sizemore and Terry

Lynn of Columbia, South Carolina and Pastor James (Jimmy)

Clarence Sizemore and Esther Ruth Sizemore of Houston, Texas,

as well as her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,

Elmer Clarence Sizemore, and sisters, Mattie L. Connerly and Eva

Williams.

She was a retired bank teller with First Citizens and was an integral

member of Christ Center Church where she served as head hostess

for many years. She was also known for her great love for her

church family, as she was faithful to visit its sick and elderly.

Margaret enjoyed baking and rarely did she forget the birthday of a

close friend or family member. Everyone who knew her can attest

to her great affinity towards chocolate and her immense

appreciation for a bouquet of flowers

Her greatest aspiration was to stand before her Lord and hear the

words, “Well done my good and faithful servant… enter into the

joy of the Lord.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Christ Center Church, 4615 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church.
