Lavona, lovingly known as Lavona Younginer before her marriage, was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Woody Sons (Stephanie) and Tracy Sons (Sherry); her grandson, Jeffrey Sons; and her special niece, Jami Page (Trey). Lavona also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Olene Sons.
Lavona attended Columbia High School, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors. She went on to have a successful career at C & S Bank, where she dedicated 25 years of her life. Her hard work and commitment to her profession earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
The funeral arrangements for Lavona Y. Eargle are being handled by Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, located in Lexington, SC. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Elmwood Cemetery located at 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201.
