Kimbley Crowe Hardin, 66, of Columbia, SC, passed away on September 24, 2024. Born in Columbia on November 21, 1957, she was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother whose presence brightened every room she entered.
Kim was a graduate of Irmo High School and the University of South Carolina. A lifelong Gamecock fan, she grew up cheering for USC from a young age, inspired by her grandfather, Neil Caughman, who was also a proud Carolina alum. Kim’s passion for the Gamecocks was loud and unwavering and she passed that enthusiasm on to everyone around her.
She dedicated her professional life to various roles, including positions in advertising at Chernoff Silver and Associates, event planning for the USC Athletics Department, and as a salesperson for many years in the waste management and home healthcare industries. Her work was marked by dedication, a strong work ethic and a genuine love for connecting with people.
Above all, Kim was a devoted mother whose sons, Jonathan, Christopher, and Geoffrey (Amy) Hardin, were her absolute pride and joy. Her boundless love for “The Boys” was evident in every smile, every laugh, and every kind word. Kim’s warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
She is survived by her mother, Ann Caughman Crowe; her siblings, Leigh DeLoach (Tom) and Matt Crowe; and her sons, Jonathan, Christopher, and Geoffrey (Amy) Hardin. Kim’s love and legacy live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
A service celebrating her life will take place at 5:00 PM on October 22, 2024, at Dunbar Funeral Home on Devine Street, followed by a reception. Guests are kindly asked not to wear black but to honor Kim by wearing pink, her favorite color.
