A private family memorial service will be held.
Katie Beth was born May 12, 1995 alongside her twin sister to Elizabeth Auld Crolley and Kevin Smith. Despite her physical and mental limitations she was feisty and energetic. She loved the beach, eating good food especially chocolate, a good nap and her stuffed animals. Katie Beth was a Jeopardy enthusiast and cooking show connoisseur.
She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Bette Auld and paternal grandfathers, Keith Smith and Jimmy Bales. Those left to cherish her memories include her parents, Elizabeth Crolley (Roger), her father, Kevin Smith (Connie Rozier), twin sister, Mary Alex Carter (Brandon); sibling, Jackie Thrailkill; best friend, Lily Cox; grandmother, Lynn Bales; aunt, Kristen Bales, uncle, Trey Auld (Annette) and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Prisma Richland Hospital, Hopebridge at the Oaks and Veronica Taylor with DDSN for their compassionate care and friendship.
