Joseph P. Stokes, 57, of Blythewood, SC passed on December 12, 2020. He was born on August 23, 1963 in Columbia, SC and was the son of Joseph S. and Doris Benfield Stokes.
Mr. Stokes served in the United States Navy and was employed with Koyo Corporation of USA as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Joseph P. Stokes is survived by two brothers, Thomas H. Benfield and wife, Dean, of Mars Hill, NC and Charles W. Benfield and wife, Patsy, of Bossier City, LA and one sister, Sharon S. Floyd of Great Falls, SC. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph S. and Doris B. Stokes and one sister, Deborah Campbell.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29201 with visitation before the service starting at 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
