Jennie Faulkenberry Swygert

Jennie was one of kind that elicited joy and exuded warmth and acceptance. She was an adoring wife; a loving mom and grandmother; a great friend and one who always loved big with open arms to everyone that had the pleasure to meet her. Among all the talents and hobbies, she excelled in, nothing was more important to her than her being a devoted wife and mother. She was a beloved chef in her kitchen, loved spending time at the beach with her family, loved to shop, decorate, and shower others with loving, well thought out gifts. Jennie loved dancing, music, and her shagging community. Her love, energy and oomph in life radiated to her family and all that have loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Mark F. Swygert Sr., their children Mark F. Swygert Jr. and wife Geralyn, her daughter Heather Green and husband Duayne with their children Mason (16), Madilyn (11), Maelyn (9) and Rahlyn Green (17) and her son J.T. Swygert and wife Rebecca with their children Vaughn (6) and Vivian (1).

She was predeceased by both her mother and father.

The family wishes to thank Haley, Meghan and Ms. Lorraine at Pathway Hospice. Thanks to the staff and especially Johnsie Douglas at Right at Home. We extend all the thanks and warmth to Ms. Starla Richards as well.

Memorials may be made to either Shriners Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
