PORT ROYAL, SC - Hugo Alexander “Alex” Metts, 64, passed Thursday, March 23, 2023. Born in Orangeburg, SC, he was a son of Barbara Anne Rhoads Brothers of Lewes, England and the late Hugo Alexander Metts, Sr.
A funeral service for Alex will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, 3926 Devine Street, Columbia, SC 29205.
Alex graduated from Lower Richland High School, and attended Midlands Technical College. Alex made a career in the automotive business importing and exporting classic automobiles for a number of years.
He had passion for boating and had traveled the world. He loved spending time with his family and friends as well as his animal companions. He was always a very caring and giving person. To know Alex was to love Alex.
Along with his mother, Barbara Anne Rhoads Brothers, he is survived by sisters, Sharon Kyzer (Stephen), Paula Martin, Stacie Robertson (Eddie), brother, Troy Metts, and numerous nieces and nephews.
