COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Emma Young Clark, 95, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Centennial A.R.P. Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Mrs. Clark died, Saturday, November 1, 2014. Born in Winnsboro, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Dixon Young and Eula Whisonant Young. She graduated from Mt. Zion Institute. Mrs. Clark retired from the Department of the Army after 25 years of service as an accounting technician. She enjoyed farming, volunteered at the VA Hospital, was a member and past Department Commander of the DAV Auxiliary, and member and treasurer of the Canasta Club. Mrs. Clark was a member of Centennial A.R.P. Church and Sally Barker Circle. Surviving are her son, Robert “Bob” Clark; daughter, Lois Clark Lee both of Columbia; grandchildren, Catherine Lee Sims, Susan Lee Moore-Ray, Melissa Clark Thomas, Jennifer Clark Cowherd, Kristina Alaine Clark; great-grandchildren, Isaac Davis Moore, Andrew Matthew Sims, Daniel Marshall Moore-Ray, James Clark Cowherd; and sister, Rosa Shaw of Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack W. Clark, Sr.; sons, Jack W. Clark, Jr., Leslie Clark; brothers, Carl, Robert, Andy, and Thomas Young; sister, Ruth Timberlake.
