A Celebration of Life service will be a private family affair on May 3, 2022.
A native of Columbia, Donald was born February 21, 1958 to Johnny and Celia James.
Donald was a kind man and family was everything to him. If you knew Donald, you would be amazed by his vast knowledge of historical facts. What we will remember most is his great personality and fairness.
After graduating from Columbia High School in 1977, he enlisted in the Navy and graduated for USC with an Associate’s Degree.
He is survived by his son’s family: Anthony Harmon, Fallon Harmon, Dymond Harmon, Anthony Harmon, Jr., Joseph Harmon, his siblings, JoAnn Baskett, Frank James (Theresa James), Betty Taylor ,Barbara James and a host of nephews and nieces that lovingly called him by his nickname, Uncle Kella.
Memorial contributions in Donald’s honor may be made to Veterans Wounded Warriors Project.
