A Celebration of Life for Deborah T. Willing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Ashland United Methodist Church in Columbia, SC. The services will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/Elmwood-Funeral-Home-Cremation-Service-223990248312243/.
Debbie or "Ashleigh", as she was known to friends, was born in Greenville, SC to the late William H. Turner and Vivian Moss Turner. She graduated from Wade Hampton High School and earned education degrees from the University of South Carolina - Columbia and Lander University. She was a teacher in Greenwood, SC and Columbia, SC, and also was an administrator with Jim Nyland Dentistry in Columbia, SC for a number of years.
She was very artistic, and her many drawings and paintings are cherished by her loved ones. She brought great comfort, joy and beauty to her family and all her many friends around the world through her loving spirit. She will be missed greatly by all including her pets, "Bambi", "Momo", "Freddie Mercury" and "Jessie".
Surviving are her beloved daughter, Holly Willing; her brother, William Matthew Turner (Lucy); nephew, Will Turner and nieces, Katie and Amelia Turner; sister-in-law, Lynda Richards and nephews, Travis, Tyler and Andrew Dudley; aunt, Barbara Dean; numerous cousins and her loving companion, Alan Lewis.
She was predeceased by her husband, Barry Willing and her parents.
