COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Cynthia Knight Bowen Page, 54, of Columbia, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at McGregor Presbyterian Church with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens. Cynthia was born July 7, 1959 in Chicago, IL and passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, James F. Page and daughter, Ashley K. Page of the home; parents, Colonel and Mrs. Ralph E. Bowen of Columbia; brother, Randall K. Bowen; sister-in-law, Meredith D. Bowen; nieces, Lindsay and Alexandra Bowen and nephew Evan Bowen all of Fairfax, VA. Also her mother-in-law, Gwen S. Page of Spartanburg and of Lexington and Cindy’s beloved dog Maggie.
Cynthia was a graduate of Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, Miami FL; Furman University, Greenville SC; and The University of Georgia Graduate School, Athens GA. She was a public school teacher with 28 years of service to students of the Midlands, in Richland District 1 and Lexington District 4, retiring in 2010. Also most recently served as a tutor at Mathnasium Center in Lexington. Cynthia was a Member of McGregor Presbyterian Church of Irmo, lover of all things Disney, avid traveler, and movie goer. She spent many happy hours playing Trivia with her friends. She was a gentle soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St Andrews Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
