Charles Edward Randle, Jr. son of Jenetha Hart Randle and the late Charles Randle Sr., departed this life on Friday, January 28, 2022. Charles was born on March 5, 1966 in Richland County, South Carolina. Growing up, he attended Keenan High School in Columbia, South Carolina, where he played on the basketball team. He attended Second Nazareth Baptist Church. After graduating from Keenan in 1984 he enrolled at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. Later he enrolled at Saint Leo University at Shaw Air Force Base. In 1986 he enlisted in the South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG) where he served for over 36 years at McEntire Joint National Guard Base. He did multiple tours while enlisted including: Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Qatar. There was no object he loved more than an F-16!
When Charles was not working, he enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and Clemson Tigers.
Charles and his family lived a life full of love and laughter for fifty-five years, and he could always be seen with a smiling face. He cherished those he loved and enjoyed bringing light to others with his friendly spirit and his jokes. From his marriage, three children: Corey E. Randle, Kelly D. Randle, and Kennedy R. Randle were born. They spent time with their father traveling to dance and cheer competitions as children, going to the beach, and sharing many tender moments. Charles instilled in them the spirit of kindness, the importance of family, friendship, and laughter, and he inspired them to have empathy and compassion for all human beings. Affectionately known as “Chuck” to his friends, he was dearly loved by his co-workers at McEntire and strangers alike.
