WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Charles B. Hopkins, 59, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Pastor Lance Henderson will officiate. Pallbearers are: Brian Anderson, Mason Eaddy, Tyler Eaddy, Steve Miller, Todd Simmons and Nathan Steele. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Memorial and Gift Fund, 1500 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169.
Mr. Hopkins was born December 2, 1958 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018. He was the son of Dolores Ballentine Hopkins and the late George W. Hopkins, Jr. He graduated with the Brookland Cayce High School Class of 1976 and was a former manager at Eckerd's Drug.
Mr. Hopkins is survived by his mother; son, John “Quinton” Hopkins of Irmo; sister, Sharon Assey (Charlie) of Lexington; grandson, Bradley Hopkins as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.
