Brenda Haynes Jaco

Brenda Haynes Jaco, born January 27, 1941, departed this life on March 2, 2023. A resident of Columbia SC, she was born in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late Lewis Andrew and Mary Brantley Haynes. She was a graduate of Olympia High School and retired from BellSouth after 30 years of service. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Doyle J. Jaco Jr., son, Doyle (Jeff) Jaco, III (Barbara (Babbie) Miley Jaco); daughter, Kelley Jaco Anderson (Mike Anderson); brother, Reverend Phillip Haynes; six grandchildren: Patrick (Whitney), Brantley (Kate), William (Leanna), Samuel (Angela), Katie (Pennington) and Leigh; and thirteen great grandchildren, Claire, Hunter, Logan, Lucy, Morgan, Maggie, Bailee, Eleanor, Ezra, Conner, Georgia, Wes and Mae. She was preceded by her parents, brother, Curtis Haynes, and sister-in-law, Rebecca Haynes.

The Requiem Mass for the Repose of the Soul of Brenda Haynes Jaco will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, March 6, 2023, at The Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal), 1512 Blanding Street, Columbia, SC. Interment of ashes at a later date. The family will receive friends before the service in the church parish hall from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
