COLUMBIA - Having passed through the valley of the shadow of death, Andrew Theodore "Terry" Fiffick, III, 70, received his eternal reward on Friday, October 6, 2017, and will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (Psalm 23). Terry was born in Johnstown, PA, on December 14, 1946, to the late Andrew Theodore Fiffick, Jr. and Marjorie Louise Kufel Fiffick. After attending Hillcrest High School in Dalzell, SC, where he met his high school sweetheart and wife, Connie, Terry went to The University of South Carolina and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature as well as a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Terry began his career in pharmacy caring for humans, but found his true passion in compounding prescriptions for animals. Terry owned and operated Congaree Veterinary Pharmacy. In his life, Terry loved catching snakes in Rocky Bluff Swamp, being a Sea Scout, hunting antiques, and cheering for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. Family was of utmost importance to Terry. His unbreakable spirit will live on in the lives he's touched and the animals he has helped. Terry spent his last days surrounded by those he loved. Terry is survived by Connie Johnson Fiffick, his wife of 48 years, who was his best friend, the love of his life, and most recently, his loving and loyal caregiver. He is also survived by his three beloved children Andrew (Andy) Theodore Fiffick, IV (Casey) of Columbia, SC, Ryan Alexander Fiffick (Sara) of Brevard, NC, and Sally Fiffick Foster of Columbia, SC; his three grandchildren John Robert (Johnny) Foster, IV, Andrew James (Drew) Fiffick, and Mary Alton Fiffick; his four much-loved younger sisters; his cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Terry was predeceased by his parents, stepfather, Mr. Lavern Payton, and infant son, Anthony Cleveland (Cleve) Fiffick. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the compassionate and skilled physicians, nurses, and staff of Providence Hospital and Columbia Medical Associates, PA. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3600 Devine Street, Columbia, SC 29205.
