Travis Jace Anthony, of Kokomo, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the age of 12. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Jace and Mirissa and has lived all of his life in Kokomo. Travis was in the 6th grade at West Marion Middle School and was thought to be an old soul in a young body. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and playing recreational baseball. He could operate any piece of equipment and farming machinery. Travis also had excellent mechanical skills and enjoyed repairing and maintaining engines and equipment. He could do anything he set his mind to do. Travis was a people person who never met a stranger. He loved chocolate ice cream cones, loved music, loved animals, loved his friends and playing Fortnite with them, loved his family, and loved his Lord. His relationship with God was precious to him and he always looked forward to being in church with his family. Travis will be remembered for his big, kind heart.
Travis was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eddie and Edna King; his maternal grandfather, Wilford Garner; his paternal grandfather, James Starling; and his paternal grandmother, Judy Anthony. His loving family remaining include his parents, Jace and Mirissa; his brother, Triston; his maternal grandmother, Teresa; his maternal grandfather, Terry and wife, Sherry; paternal grandfather, Kenneth; paternal grandmother, Teresa; maternal great-grandmother, Earline Garner; paternal great-grandparents, Bobby Joe and Donnis Bracey; his best friends, Logan Main and Jathan Rocko; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a visitation for Travis at Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Travis will be at the church on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00am, officiated by Reverend Jason Rocko. He will be laid to rest in the Darbun Community Cemetery assisted by Mike Anthony, Brian Anthony, William Anthony, Josh Anthony, KW Anthony, and Kenneth Anthony serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include Triston Anthony, Logan Main, Jathan Rocko, Zach Conklin, and Brady Conklin.
