Shirley Prine Tillman, of Sandy Hook, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the age of 70. Born in Mississippi, she lived in Kansas City, Kansas from 1998 until moving back to Sandy Hook in 2012. Shirley was a kind soul who was always concerned about other people and would do anything she could to help someone in need. She enjoyed working in her yard tending her flower and vegetable gardens. She will be remembered for her kindness to other people and her love for the thousands of animals that she rescued.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wilda Prine; two sisters, Wanda Hibley and Brenda Stuckey; and a brother, James "Bo" Prine. Shirley is survived by her husband, Buddy Tillman; three sons, Mark Carter, Terry Carter (Lena), and Eric Holmes; a sister, Linda Hibley (Butch); three grandchildren, Victoria Carter, Dylan Carter, and Gabriel Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Shirley will be at Colonial Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, November 12, 2021. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel at 10:00am on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Burial will follow in Bedwell Cemetery.
