Randy “Worm Digger” Winnett, a lifelong resident of Baxterville, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the age of 64. He spent his entire working career in the oil field. When not working, Randy was an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Robbie Winnett; a sister, Rhonda Williamson; a brother, Tony Winnett; and a granddaughter, Skyler “Bug” Winnett. Randy is survived by two sons, Jason (Tangela) Winnett and Kenneth Henry Smith; five sisters, Mona Johnson, Marie Mahaffey, Robin Hurst, Rita Sistrunk, and Kim Parrott; four brothers, Mark Winnett, Paul Winnett, Randel Winnett, and Timothy Winnett; five grandchildren, Sammy Winnett, Savannah Winnett, Tyler Winnett, Jaci Winnett, and Jaylee Winnett; three great-grandchildren, Hailey Winnett, Matthew Winnett, and Wyatt Winnett; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral services for Randy will be private.
