Mrs. Mary Lou Brumfield, aged 78 of Foxworth, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a professional hairstylist and owned and operated Mary’s Beauty Shop until her retirement and a member of First Baptist Church Foxworth.
Mrs. Brumfield was preceded in death by her grandson, Heath Wesley; parents, Arthur and Rosie Mae Dunaway Conerly; her sister, Claudia Robertson; and brothers, J.C. Conerly, and R.W. Conerly. She is survived by her husband, Billy D. Brumfield of Foxworth; two daughters, Nita (Richard) Oglesbee, and Rita (Rusty) Wesley, both of Columbia, MS; two sons, Ferrel (Debbie) Brumfield, and Darrel (Vanya) Brumfield , both of Foxworth; a sister, Arthur Mae (J.W.) Hartfield of Foxworth; twelve grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be Monday, July 24, 2017 at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Dane Hodges officiating and assisted by Rev. Cory Odom, and Rev. Zach Smith. Pallbearers will be Jason Brumfield, Tyler Brumfield, Brad Rimes, Hunter Broome, Vol White, and Hunter Oglesbee. Interment will follow at Foxworth Cemetery.
