Judy Dunaway Anthony, age 68, of Kokomo, MS passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Judy worked several years with Catholic Services of New Orleans helping underprivileged children before moving to Kokomo to manage Dunaway's Grocery. She loved the outdoors, especially activities around the creek, river, and lake, and enjoyed camping. For the past 25 years, Judy had devoted her time as a homemaker and most special job of "Nana Judy".
Mrs. Anthony was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Jill Morgan; her son, Joshua Quin Lackey; father, Quin Dunaway; and brother, Anthony Dunaway. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Anthony; two sons, K.W. Anthony (Kimberly), and Jace Anthony (Mirrisa); her mother, Mary Holmes Dunaway; sister, Barbara Dunaway Beal; five grandchildren, Halli Lackey, Lainey Anthony, Triston Anthony, Travis Anthony, and Karter Anthony; a sister-in-law, Sheila Brock (Mark); a brother-in-law, William Anthony (Gwen); special friends, Debbie Price, and Debbie Simmons; and a host of extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Colonial Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.
