James "Jimbo" Newman

James “Jimbo” Newman, age 82 passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2022 at his residence in Sandy Hook, MS. He was born on February 11, 1940 and worked in construction. Mr. Newman proudly served in the US Army and was a member of Pearl River Landmark Missionary Church.

Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his mother, Melvina Rose Newman; and two brothers. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Nelda Newman; a sister, Rosa Lakes (Tim); and a niece, Tammy Lakes.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Pearl River Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook where visitation will be from 1:30 pm until service time.
