Hardy “Red Bull” Harper, age 86 of Foxworth, MS, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was a truck driver and was employed with Roger’s Lumber Company for 40 years. He also loved to fish and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Harper was preceded in death by parents, Eli Harper, and Thomas and Pearl Barnett; brother, John Henry Harper, and daughter-in-law, Renee’ Harper. He is survived by his wife, Earline Harper; four sons, Benton Ray Harper, Harold Harper, Stanley Harper, and Steve (Angela) Harper; two brothers, Jerry Harper, and Jim Harper; nine granddaughters, Amanda Bolin, Amberly Sanders, Christy Dickerson, Cindy Harper, Stephanie Harper, Kelsey Cleland, Samantha Harper, Alicia Herrington, and Allison Spiers; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter, and one on the way.
Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 12:00pm at the funeral home chapel. Reverend Darel Daniels and Reverend Tyler Chavis will officiate at the service and interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Nelson, Hunter Bolin, Drake Spiers, Dylan Raynes, Evan Cleland, Danny Sanders, Russell Bolin, and Chris Dickerson.
