Frank Bourne

Frank Bourne, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the age of 87. He was born in Marion County to Hollis and Etta Bourne where he has remained a lifelong resident. Frank owned a dairy farm in the Goss Community for many years and enjoyed gardening. He was a pipefitter and member of the Pipefitter’s Union Local # 714. He served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his community and his Lord through his longtime active membership with Goss Baptist Church. Frank will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sybil Bowles; three brothers, Carol Bourne, Colin Bourne, and Milton Bourne; a son, Glenn Bourne; two grandsons, Kurt Bourne and Kenneth Hedgepeth; and his beloved wife, Frances Bourne. Frank is survived by a daughter, Brenda Hedgepeth (Ken); a son, Ben Bourne (Leigh); nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Mark McArthur, will be at the graveside in Society Hill Cemetery at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Nathan Bourne, Adam Bourne, Jessie Hedgepeth, Isaac Hitt, Scott Lowery, and Kurt Lowery will assist as pallbearers.
