On Friday, July 24, 2020 Charles Gregory “Greg” Holloway passed from this life to be in the presence of his Heavenly Father at the age of 56. He was born in Columbia, Mississippi where he has remained a lifelong resident. Greg began working as a meat cutter at the age of 14 and worked for Piggly Wiggly for over 30 Years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his time hunting and fishing; but, he cherished the time with his family. Greg will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and fun-loving friend who would help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Holloway and a sister, Kathy Jean Holloway. Greg is survived by his wife, Jodie Holloway; a son, Scott Holloway and wife, Nikki; his mother, Helen Martin; two brothers, Ricky Holloway and wife, Heather, and Kenny Holloway; four grandchildren, Madison Jerkins, Oscar Martinez, Gracelynn Martin, and Weston Holloway; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation for Greg at Colonial Funeral Home from 9:30am until 11:00am on Monday, July 27, 2020. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Brian Stewart, will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Society Hill Cemetery assisted by George Darr, Clem Evans, Scott Holloway, Billy Blessit, Steve Mullins, and Charles Hughes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bennie Pounds, Edwin Tippit, Carol Sanders, Steve Harrell, Zander Martinez, Stephen Bilyeu, and Weston Holloway.
