A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, also in Columbia.
Born in Sturgeon, Missouri on July 12, 1929, Vivian was the only child of Margaret (Quisenberry) and Luther Stanley Garrett. She graduated first in her class at Sturgeon High School. On July 4, 1948, she was united in marriage with Edward “Jack” Roberts.
Vivian and Jack loved going to auctions and garage sales all over the state in search of antiques. She also loved to read and was known for her delicious fried chicken. In later years, she relished becoming a grandma and helped take care of every single one of her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Jana) Roberts; daughters-in-law Cathy Roberts and Mary Roberts; grandchildren Natalie (Charles) Bolton, Brendan Roberts, Kenneth Roberts, William (Emily) Roberts, Jesse (Lauren) Roberts, Jennifer (Damien) Roberts, John (Jennifer) Roberts; as well as several great-grandchildren.
Vivian is preceded in death by her husband, Jack and two sons, Billy Wayne Roberts and Robert “Bob” Earl Roberts.
