Ruth Esther Little

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM and on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 10:00AM -11:00AM at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ruth was born on November 10, 1928 in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Lewis Henry and Ruby Ann (Sanspeur) Weibel who preceded her in death. She was married on December 27, 1953 in Hatton, MO to Everett “Bud” Little who survives of the home. Ruth taught elementary school for nine years and was a substitute teacher at Two Mile Prairie and in Centralia, MO. She also worked as a cashier at Jesse Hall for the University of Missouri. She was a member of the Prairie Grove Baptist Church. Ruth was a homemaker, and family, friends, and church members enjoyed her wonderful cooking.

Other survivors include: one son, Mark Little (Myra) of Columbia, MO; one daughter, Beth Thomas (Wally) of Columbia, MO; two sisters, JoAnn Bullard and Annella Crisp; two brothers, Bob Weibel and Don Weibel; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Mark Adam Little and one brother, Richard Weibel.
