A visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia, MO.
Rose was born June 24, 1925 in Alhambra, California and was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rose later returned to California where she met her husband, Ralph Von Gogh, who preceded her in death. They were married on February 8, 1947 and were blessed with three children. They raised the family in Covina moving to Foothill Terrace in La Verne in 1981. Rose worked for the Los Angeles Municipal Court system as a court clerk before retiring in 1985. After retirement, Rose and Ralph were able to enjoy a bit of traveling. Rose was an avid bowler, at times bowling in three leagues a week. She also enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to Laughlin with her good friends. In April of 2016, she moved to Columbia, Missouri.
In addition to her husband, Ralph, Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Reba; brother, Irvin; sister, Betty; son, Bill; and grandson, Ryan.
She is survived by son, Robert (Cindy) of Colorado; daughter, Sandy (Lonny) of Missouri; grandsons, Eric of California, Matthew of Hawaii, and Justin (Mallorie) of Missouri; three great-grandsons, Liam, Wyatt, and soon to be born, Hunter; great granddaughter, Amber; two nieces, Michele (Danny) and Karen (Avik); great nieces, Danielle, Michele, Andrea, and Alena; cousin, Janet; and many other dear family and friends.
Donations in Rose’s memory are welcomed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice Compassus in Columbia, MO.
